Checking blood pressure at home

If you check your blood pressure at home, try to do it at the same time every day, and measure it in the same arm. Sit quietly for about five minutes before taking your measurement. Don't take any medications just beforehand, especially ones like decongestants that can cause a temporary spike in blood pressure.
