Wild animals and rabies
Many wild animals, including raccoons, skunks, bats, foxes, and coyotes, can spread rabies to humans by biting. They can also spread the disease to humans by biting humans’ pets. Make sure your pet's vaccinations are up to date. This will protect not only your pet but also you and your family. If your pet is bitten by a wild animal, call a veterinarian immediately.
